Privacy Policy

Race to AGI ("the Service", hosted at rtagi.online) is a free single-player browser strategy game operated by XADLabs ("we", "us", the "Company"), a company registered in Sri Lanka. XADLabs is the data controller for the personal data described here. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. We keep data collection to a minimum.

What we collect

  • Account details. If you create an account, we store your email address and an authentication identifier via our auth provider (Supabase). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information (name and avatar) — we do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google data.
  • Username. The display name you choose, which is shown publicly on the leaderboard.
  • Game data. Your saved runs and submitted challenge scores (a game seed and the list of in-game moves), used to let you continue a game and to rank leaderboard entries.
  • Usage & analytics data. We use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used. This collects information such as pages visited, approximate location (derived from your IP address), device and browser type, and interaction events, using cookies and similar identifiers. This data is processed by Google on our behalf; see Google's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

  • Essential cookies. Used to keep you signed in (your Supabase authentication session). The Service cannot function without these.
  • Analytics cookies. Set by Google Analytics to measure usage, as described above.

Why we use your data

  • To provide the game, save your progress, and operate the leaderboard.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To understand and improve how the Service is used (analytics).

What we don't do

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not show third-party advertising.
  • We only request the minimum sign-in permissions (email and basic profile).

Who we share data with

We share data only with the service providers that operate the Service on our behalf: Supabase (authentication and database hosting) and Google (Google Sign-In and Google Analytics). These providers process data under their own privacy terms and may store or process it outside Sri Lanka. We do not share your data with anyone else except where required by law.

Playing without an account

You can play the entire game without signing in. In that case your progress is saved only in your own browser's local storage and never leaves your device (analytics still applies to general site usage).

Data retention & your rights

We keep your account and game data until you ask us to delete it. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data — including your profile, saves, and leaderboard entries — at any time by contacting us at the address below. You can also play without an account or clear your browser's local storage to remove local saves.

Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
